How much power does the Gladiator have?
Believe us when we tell you that the 2023 Jeep Gladiator is one of the most powerful trucks on the road. All trim levels will come standard with a 3.6-liter V6 engine that delivers an exceptional 285 horsepower and 260 lb-ft of torque which drivers can either pair with a six-speed manual or eight-speed automatic transmission, both of which provide you with a smooth ride. Optional on most trims is a 3.0-liter diesel V6 engine that pumps out 260 horsepower and an outstanding 442 lb-ft of torque that automatically gets an eight-speed automatic transmission. Those who want to use their Gladiator to haul a ton of material from place to place will be pleased to know that your Gladiator can tow 7,650 pounds with a payload capacity of 1,700 pounds.
What kind of features can I expect with the Gladiator?
Four trim levels are available for the Gladiator, and each has many features that drivers and passengers are sure to enjoy. The base Sport is one of the best-equipped base trim levels on the planet as it comes with a 7-inch display screen with the Uconnect 4 infotainment system and standard Apple Car Play and Android Auto. If you go with one of the higher trim levels of the Gladiator, then you will get an 8.4-inch touchscreen and Uconnect 4C, which comes with a navigation system and a 9-speaker Alpine audio system. The Overland is at the midway point, and it gets in on the fun with several unique items, such as 18-inch alloy wheels, tinted glass, heated side mirrors, and side steps. Inside the cabin, you will get keyless entry, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, dual-zone automatic climate control, a 115-volt outlet, and ambient footwell lighting. If you want to go off the road, the Gladiator has two trim levels dedicated to that, with the first being a Rubicon which has an electronically locking front differential, Fox suspension components, an electronically disconnecting sway bar, and another rear tow hook. The Mojave is made for the desert and has an electronically locking rear differential, extra Fox parts, and a desert-rated badge.
How safe is the Gladiator?
The short answer is that the Gladiator is very safe as it has numerous advanced safety items designed to keep you secure no matter where you travel. Coming standard is a Blind-Spot Monitoring system with Rear-Cross Path Detection, which will monitor the areas around your Gladiator and let you know when it’s safe to cross into the other lane. You also get a standard Adaptive Cruise Control system that will allow the driver to input a pre-set distance so they can maintain a safe distance behind the vehicle in front. The last safety system we want to bring to your attention is the Forward Collision Warning which will provide you with visual and audio cues if you are about to get into a collision. It will also apply the brakes if you fail to do so!
